Favorite Things Friday: Kyla's Takeover

Hey! My name is Kyla and I'm on Heather's spokes model team this year. I am an artist, my favorite color is yellow and I love the rain.

For Favorite Things Friday, I'm going to share one of my favorite books.  The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, is about a kid named Charlie who is learning how to cope with the suicide of his closest friend Michael. The story is told through letters that Charlie writes to someone he has never met in person, but who he heard was nice. He writes to this person to help him with his anxiety and fear that comes with starting high school completely alone. 

I loved this book because it was a different "coming of age" story, and it really touched me. It's so real and really applicable to my life as a high school student. The story kept me turning pages and kept me wanting to know more about Charlie and his life. If you want a book that is captivating but not intense, this is the book for you.

Fashion Friday

Do you have a certain style that you never deviate from? Or are you like me and your style is all over the board...like you can't really define it but you can show it? Today, I give you one aspect of my style and personality!

I love this outfit because it fits my overall casually chic style...and it's a little punk, which is totally me! I think distressed jeans are fun, I love Bon Jovi and the moto jacket and aviators make me feel all tough chick, lol! Red is absolutely my favorite color, and who doesn't love Chucks?! And I really like the thread through hoop earrings because they are classic with a twist. Which if I DID have to sum up my style, classic with a twist would be a good description!
